Care
Thrives in full sun to partial shade in a sheltered position. Prefers moist, well-drained, fertile soil — tolerates both acidic and neutral pH. Water regularly when young and establishing; more drought-tolerant once mature. Minimal pruning required — remove any dead or crossing branches in late spring. Can be trained against a warm south or west-facing wall in cooler regions. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring.
