A classic evergreen standard trained into a neat lollipop head, Bay Laurel is one of the most beloved and versatile plants for UK gardens and patios. Care
Thrives in full sun to partial shade. Water regularly during the growing season, allowing the compost to partially dry between waterings; reduce watering in winter. Clip the lollipop head in late spring and again in late summer to maintain its shape. Protect from harsh frost and cold drying winds — move under cover or wrap with fleece in prolonged freezes. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring.
